Sleeping with the Fishes

I've seen first hand the hardships that cross-site/cross-timezone projects have to deal with and at one time I had the frequent flyer miles to prove it. However, despite those difficulties I find it somewhat hard to believe that this idea to anchor "offshore" workers literally offshore is going to work out.

Showing the picture of the floating cruise ship puts a pretty face on the fact that the people working there will be thousands of miles from their homes and families. On the other hand, my cubicle is a dull grey color and we don't have a company swimming pool.
