So far there are a few bugs popping up in Project 2007 and Project Server 2007. Most are not showstoppers and wouldn't keep me from using it. If you run across one, Microsoft has set up a site for reporting bugs and issues. Just log in here:
https://connect.microsoft.com/site/sitehome.aspx?SiteID=235
and log your bug. The prize is that if there are enough of them filed we get a service pack sooner than later :-).

Hi
I have come here out of desparation. I have just got project 2007 and found a MAJOR bug.
This bug scrammbles taks lists adds blank tasks and changes the outline
All requiring reentry of data, sometimes 100s of tasks
I found the MS bug blog, but is there a service pack. This bug makes my use of the product very risky. To put it into perspective, if this was an accounting package it would be giving completley the wrong bottom line answers. I and many others use Project in commercial environments, often using its reslts to argue extension of time claims etc
Does any one know if MS are fixing this bug ??

"So far there are a few bugs popping up in Project 2007 and Project Server 2007. Most are not showstoppers " GARBAGE !!!!!
you are leading people astray by saying this. Do you have a commercial link with Microsoft ???
there is a major bug which is definitely a SHOWSTOPPER
when ver 2003 files are imported it scrammbles the data. IT SCRAMBLES THE DATA. THAT IS A SHOW STOPPER TO ME. YOU MIGHT NOT WANT TO PUBLISH THIS, IF YOU DO NOT THEN I WILL SPREAD THE WORD IN OTHER WAYS TO ENSURE THAT THE USERS ARE NOT LEAD ASTRAY BY FALSE STATEMENTS from your organisation.

I found the same to be true when bringing in a Project 2003 file. If the 2003 file had customized fields, forget about any printing. I had to remove the customized fields first, save as a 2007. Then and only then could I print tasks in the format I wanted. When I tried to re-introduce the customized fields it let me save the project as a 2007 version but when I reopen the next day to finish the job, it crashes!!! Show stopper???? Ahhh hello Microsoft!!

I have the same scrambling problem, except this is from importing 2007 files as wellas earlier versions. The Activity ID order goes all out of sequence,
circular relationships form, activities split, and there's nothing you can do to fix it.I dont trust this software anymore!

We've stumbled on a potentially major bug as well. We are not using Project Server. When we downsave from Project 2007 to 2003, we are intermittently losing data. Sometimes its predecessors & successors, sometimes text field data. Anyone else seen this?
